2006 First Friday         Super Summer Theatre opened it's curtains for the first time in 1976, just two years after the Spring Mountain Ranch became a state park. It remains to this day a division of the Nevada State Parks and is under the directorship of Park Ranger Rick Keller. In the early years the Las Vegas Junior League and the Nevada Natural History Association helped greatly in getting Super Summer Theatre up and going.
1998 production of Barnum

In 1979 the State Parks Cultural Arts Board came into existence, and continues overseeing groups that provide entertainment in the Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. The audience has grown from a couple thousand in the early days to sellout crowds for nearly every performance in recent seasons.

2006 Parade Float

We pride ourselves in the fact that we try to put as much as we can into our community. Over the years we have worked with and assisted organizations such as the Salvation Army, Channel 10, Child Haven, Shade Tree and others. We also sponsor a Christmas tree at Opportunity Village each December.

1980s era production of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers

As we enter each season we like to thank our audience- the people of Southern Nevada - who are ultimately responsible for our success.
We also thank our many contributors for their support throughout the year.
We give a special thank you to the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation, whose generosity has allowed us to upgrade the technology in our facilities.
